A Miniature Empire-Style Living Room

19th century, 1:12 scale

Rehbinder House Museum -"Leaning on a Chair" Furniture History - Permanent Exhibition 2024

This detailed miniature Empire-style living room is inspired by Lorenz Heinrich Petersen’s watercolor „The Interior of the Governor’s House in Reval” (1840s). The model highlights the opulent forms, luxurious details, and distinctive design language of the 19th-century Empire style. From the furniture to the decorative accents, each element has been meticulously recreated to reflect the period's historical authenticity.

Through these models, my aim is to provide a unique gateway to the past—an experience that inspires, educates and fosters an appreciation for our history.
