The Miniature Vandalized Manor Hall

19th century, 1:12 scale

Anija Manor - “The Story of Manor Era” Permanent Exhibition 2020

This handcrafted miniature model portrays the impact of the 1905 revolution in the Baltic provinces, a period marked by extensive arson, destruction, and looting of manor houses. Inspired by a 19th-century manor hall that survived such vandalism, this model captures the era’s dramatic events.

Our aim was to create every piece of miniature furniture and decoration by hand, respecting the craftsmanship of 19th-century artisans. At the same time, we incorporated visible traces of the damage inflicted by vandals, reflecting the tragic legacy of this tumultuous period.
